Zion National Park, Spring Break 2020
I am a visual journalist because I enjoy sharing peoples' stories, especially those of the people whose voices are not being heard or have something unique to say. I aim to catalyze conversation and change through my photos. On the other hand, I enjoy capturing unexpected and simple moments in every day life. And I love to explore and better understand the world as a whole and the communities I live and work in. To do so, I carry my camera with me as often as possible, because you never know when you run into someone or something interesting, or when inspiration strikes.
I am currently a full-time media intern at the UGA Wesley Foundation. I recently finished my BA in Journalism at The University of Georgia where I also worked as a Staff Photographer at The Red & Black, the independent student-run newspaper in Athens, Georgia, on the Photo and Special Publications desks for three years . I will continue to use my training in photojournalism as I broaden my media horizons.
